Communication Troubleshooting
If one of the connected devices is showing a red “ERROR” message as seen in the adjacent image, check to ensure the device is powered, check the network connection from the device to the PLC, and verify the device should be communicating to the PLC. IE the optimizer PC should be powered on, the CleereOpti application should be open and set to connect to the PLC.
Connect your laptop to the network, and using command prompt ping the devices
If you can ping devices but communication issues persist
verify network settings, IP issues etc
firewall issues
The ethernet cable between the two points of connection is often the cause of this issue, Either a bad end, or a damaged/worn cable. PLC connections, seem sensitive to this issue.
