Control and Input Troubleshooting

Control/Input Issues

• For all System functionality, navigate to Troubleshooting, then PLC IO inputs/outputs. This show signal status for all inputs/outputs to PLCs, as well as the blocking valve, log loader, log deck, saw guide, cant pan and slab drop values.

• For all console inputs/outputs navigate to Troubleshooting, then Console IO input/outputs screens.

• For Dispatch IO troubleshooting, navigate to Dispatch.

Non-responsive Input Command

• When you activate the button/trigger, does the input activate?

• When the input activates, does the corresponding output activate?

• Open the Electrical Cabinets, do the PLC card inputs/outputs light up when they receive a signal and when they output signals?

Module Fault/Failure

• If an input or output fails to respond, IE it receives input power, but does not recognize it, or it receives a signal to output, but does not output and power, if there is a spare input/output you can switch the Dispatch PLC program to fit this until you can get a replacement input/output card.
