Weg Faults

Faults that start with A are alarms. These do not keep the drive from running, but are alarms that can happen just before an F fault which stops a drive. Here I'm only covering the F faults as those are typically what a customer notices.

Typical WEG VFD faults...

F0072 - Overload protection. There is something causing the motor to work extra hard. Look for debris around the moving mechanism. Can also be a sign of a motor failing.

F0051 - IGBTS Overtemperature. This usually means the fan at the bottom of the VFD has failed.

F0022 Overvoltage on DC Link. VFD speeds not synchronized close enough.
